The superficial flexor retinaculum consists of transverse oriented fibrous bands in the fascia of the anterior antebrachium over the tendons of the superficial flexor muscles of this region. It covers the flexor carpi ulnaris, palmaris longus, and flexor carpi radialis tendons as they pass into the wrist.
