Description
This is deep to the long plantar ligament and also attaches to a broad region on the plantar surface of the calcaneus. It is a strong band that is shorter than of long plantar ligament and projects distally to the plantar surface of the cuboid bone.
Function
Stabilizes the calcaneocuboid joint and supports the lateral longitudinal arch.
