Description
This is the lateral part of the y-shaped bifurcate ligament. The tail of the y-shaped band attaches to the anterior aspect of the superior surface of the calcaneus. This is the lateral split of the y-shape that attaches to the dorsolateral surface of the navicular bone.
Function
Stabilizes the calcaneocuboid joint.
