Septal cartilage
Description
The septal cartilage is a flat, rectangular hyaline cartilage with its posterosuperior angle projecting as a strong point between the anterior aspects of the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone and the vomer. It is thick peripherally and thinner in its central region. Its anterosuperior angle attaches to the inferior aspect of the internasal suture.
